Privacy Policy

Last updated July 21, 2026

This policy covers ustaxx.com and the social media accounts we operate. Tax documents you send us as a client are handled in our secure client portal and under your engagement agreement, not through this website.

What we collect

  • Information you give us. When you contact us, request a consultation or subscribe, we collect what you submit — typically your name, email address, phone number and whatever you describe about your situation.
  • Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we store your email address so we can send updates.
  • Basic usage counts. We keep aggregate counts of how often articles are viewed. These are totals, not profiles of individual readers.

We do not run third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking scripts on this site, and we do not sell personal information.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, provide the services you ask for, send updates you subscribed to, meet our legal and professional obligations as a tax preparer, and improve our content.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that operate parts of our business, including:

  • our secure client document portal (SecureFilePro) for tax documents;
  • Square, for appointment booking;
  • hosting, database and email/SMS providers that run this website and our communications;
  • the IRS and state tax authorities, where filing on your behalf requires it.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How our social media content is published

We publish educational tax and business content to our own accounts on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok. So that this is transparent:

  • Our posts are produced with the help of automated tools and AI assistance. Each one is sent to a member of our team for review before it goes out, and we can and do stop posts that should not publish. Posts we do not stop are published automatically at a scheduled time.
  • We publish only our own original content to our own accounts. We do not post on behalf of clients or other businesses, and we do not access other users’ personal data through those platforms.
  • Social posts are general education, never individualized tax advice — the same as everything else we publish.
  • We may reply to public comments and direct messages. Replies are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by a person before sending. Please do not send Social Security numbers, tax documents or other sensitive information through social media — use our secure portal or call us instead.
  • Anything you post or send on those platforms is also governed by that platform’s own privacy policy and terms. We do not use social interactions for advertising targeting.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in the message or by contacting us. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it — write to info@ustaxx.com. Records we are required to retain as a tax preparer are kept for as long as the law requires.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encrypted transmission and a dedicated secure portal for client documents. No system is perfectly secure, so please use the portal rather than email or social media for anything sensitive.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies and local storage needed to make it work — remembering your language choice and keeping you signed in to staff-only areas. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party behavioural-tracking or analytics scripts.

Services we link out to — our client portal, appointment booking and social platforms — set their own cookies under their own policies once you are on their site.

Children

Our services are for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes and contact
